Try to learn to breathe deeply

Try to learn to breathe deeply, really to taste food when you eat, and when you sleep, really to sleep. Try as much as possible to be wholly alive with all your might, and when you laugh, laugh like hell. And when you get angry, get good and angry. Try to be alive. You will be dead soon enough.

- Ernest Hemingway

In the last couple of weeks I've been trying to create a habit for myself to always be in each moment. In our generation it has become such a habit to do several things at once and to do everything in a rush. We're on our phones while we're sitting at the beach, while we're watching a movie and while we're having coffee with a friend. We're even having the tv on in the background while we're having dinner with our family, because we're not satisfied anymore just doing one thing at a time. We have become so used to being distracted and we have forgotten what it means to be in the moment.

Let's turn this habit around and be people who live wholeheartedly and wholly alive! Let's enjoy God's creation wholeheartedly, let's watch a movie wholeheartedly, let's do grocery shopping wholeheartedly, let's be with one another wholeheartedly.
